Eleven months. Three beekeepers. A great deal of paying attention.

A season long online 1:1 mentoring relationship for people who want to understand their bees, not just manage them.

February 2027 – December 2027
Three places only.
Applications open by complimentary call

What if you had someone to talk to throughout the entire beekeeping season?

Beekeeping can be wonderfully simple until suddenly it is not. Your bees do something unexpected. You find something you have never seen before. You are standing in front of a hive wondering whether you should intervene, wait, look again, or do something completely different.

And sometimes what you need is not another look in your beekeeping course book. You need someone who knows your bees, your apiary and your journey.

That is what this mentoring programme is for.

From February through December 2027, I will work closely with three beekeepers throughout their season.

We will talk regularly about what is happening in your hives, what you are observing, what you are wondering about and what decisions you are facing. Because I do not want to simply teach you what to do. I want to teach you how to look.

“The physical distance did not have any negative impact on the mentoring, as Titanilla is very attentive and goes above and beyond.”

— Matt, 2026 mentoring student

What is included?

11 private 1:1 video calls
One 40-minute call every month from February to December. These are completely individual. We talk about your bees, what you are observing, what you are wondering about and what is happening in your apiary at that point in the season.

A private WhatsApp group
You, me and the other two students.

Share photographs, observations, questions and updates throughout the season and learn from what the other students are seeing too.

My Observational Beekeeping resource library
You will get immediate access to my collection of PDF guides and printable materials to use alongside your bees.

A whole season of learning
There is no week-by-week script where every student learns the same thing on the same day. Some seasons are early. Some are strange. The actual structure is a question I will keep asking you, all year: what are your bees doing and what can we learn from that?

“She prepares you very well for each eventuality before it happens and even before you knew to ask about it.”

— Matt, 2026 mentoring student

Who is this for?

• You already keep bees, or you are seriously starting this coming season

• You want to understand why, not just be told what

• You are tired of contradictory advice from five different forums and three different books

• You want to become a sharper observer of your own bees

• You want a full season of support (not a single answer to a single panic)

• You are drawn to a less interventionist, more observation-led way of keeping bees

• You want to end the year more confident making your own calls, not more dependent on mine

Who this isn't for?

If your main goal is maximising honey yield (more supers, more extraction, bigger numbers on the jar count) this isn't the right programme for you.

That is not a criticism of that goal, it is just not mine and I would rather be upfront than have you discover it in May. This is a conventional-beekeeping-adjacent programme in the loosest sense only. My interest is in what your bees are actually doing and why, not in optimising them for output. Sometimes those two things point the same direction. Often they don't.

Why the season matters?

A single consultation can solve a single problem. It can't teach you to see the next one coming.

Beekeeping problems rarely arrive politely, one at a time, with a tidy explanation attached. They arrive in April looking like one thing and turn out, by June, to have been something else entirely. A season-long relationship means I am there for the whole arc. Not just the moment of crisis, but the weeks before it, when the signs were already there and neither of us had quite named them yet. That is where real observational skill gets built: in hindsight, with someone who was watching alongside you the whole time.

“She managed to coach me through difficult situations like a queenless hive and requeening.”

— Matt, 2026 mentoring student

Why only 3 spaces?

I could make this bigger. I have chosen not to.

Three students means I can actually hold your whole season in my head. Your hive, your history, your questions from February still informing what I say in October. 30 students means I am mentoring in outline. I would rather do this properly for 3 people than adequately for 30.

Before you join, we meet.

Everyone on the waitlist will have the opportunity to have a complimentary 20-minute video call with me.

You are choosing me too.

We will talk about you, your beekeeping, what you want to learn and what you are looking for from mentoring.

And, importantly, we will see if we click.

I will then invite 3 people to join the programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are seriously starting this coming season, quite possibly. The call will tell us both. This mentoring isn't a beginner's course from zero, but it works very well for someone entering their first proper season who wants to build good observational habits from the start, rather than unlearning bad ones in year three.

No. My own experience and interest centres on Apis mellifera mellifera and that lens will shape how I talk about local adaptation and environment. But the observational approach applies whatever bees are in your apiary.

Everyone on the waitlist will have the opportunity to have a complimentary 20-minute call with me. I want to make sure the programme is a good fit for the people joining and that I feel I can give each person the kind of mentoring they are looking for.

Each student's 40-minute 1:1 call will be scheduled individually, around both our availability. We will find a regular rhythm that works for us rather than assigning everyone a fixed day and time.

Yes. The WhatsApp group is there for questions, photographs and observations throughout the season. I will respond when I am able rather than instantly. The aim is to provide genuine ongoing support without either of us burning out by June.

Life happens. If you need to move a call, just let me know and we will find another suitable time where possible. The mentoring is designed to fit around your real life as well as the rhythm of your bees.

This is ongoing mentoring, rather than an emergency bee-health service. You can post in the WhatsApp group and I will respond when I am able. If something needs a longer discussion, we can bring it to your next call or discuss whether an additional conversation is appropriate.

Because there are only 3 places, each place is reserved for one person for the full mentoring season. Full cancellation and refund terms will be provided before payment.

Think we might be a good fit?

Join the waitlist and I will be in touch when the selection process begins.

There is no obligation to join. Just an opportunity for us to meet, talk bees and see whether this feels right for both of us.
